Q:
Which types of flooring do you install?
A: We supply, install and repair most types of flooring including
but not limited to:
Solid wood, engineered wood, laminates, vinyl, vinyl design tiles (such as Karndean) and carpets. We can supply goods and materials from most manufacturers including all appropriate accessories.
Q:
Can you replace a damaged plank in a wooden floor?
A: Board replacements are possible - you need to have a spare board.
The replacement can be carried out to solid wood, engineered wood
and laminate floors. It is time consuming and expensive but is
cheaper than replacing the whole floor.
Q: Do you offer a "Key service"?
A: For landlords, builders, estate agents or
anybody that requires work carried out in a property that is
un-occupied then we can collect and return the keys to a property as
required.
In some cases we collect the keys from the client the night before and, if we are completed before they return, we deliver the keys to their place of work.
Q: Do you undertake remedial and
preparation work to the floor before installation?
A: We can install smoothing and rapid drying
compounds, ply and hardboard if required before installation. We
will also re-fix any loose floorboards that can be done safely
(provided that we are asked in advance if this is required) -
typically taken up by a plumber or electrician.
You will be notified about any preparation work and materials, where possible, on the quotation.
Q:
Will you uplift and dispose of the old flooring?
A: We are registered / licensed waste carriers. If required we can uplift and
dispose of the old flooring - this does incur an extra charge, or we
can uplift only and place the old flooring neatly somewhere of the
customers choice (normally the garage) for them to arrange for
disposal—this is the cheaper option.
Q:
Will you trim / cut doors so they will clear the new
flooring?
A: Door trimming can be carried out. We use a specialist tool to
trim the bottom of the doors without removing them and the cost is
15.00GBP for the first door and 10.00GBP for each door after that
(plus VAT).
Q: Do you undertake
contract work?
A:We have contracted to various companies and clients, high street
names, commercial and domestic but we specialize in domestic
installations.
